Richard Pizzey

Rich graduated from the RVC in 2015, since then he’s spent time in and out of farm animal and mixed practice. He completed a PhD in bovine TB at Aberystwyth University and in 2023 joined the Welsh Government. Within Welsh Government he leads on endemic animal diseases, antimicrobial resistance and animal health and welfare within the SFS. Outside of work he optimistically tries to squeeze some clinical practice into his evenings and faffs around with his small sheep flock and partner’s horses. When time allows likes to get out cycling or mountain biking.
