Veterinary Lead for the Small Animal Expert Group, APHA
Liz graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2011 and worked in small animal practice before completing an MSc in Public Health at LSHTM in 2021. She then joined the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), where she leads the Small Animal Expert Group within the Surveillance Intelligence Unit, overseeing detection and characterisation of new and re-emerging threats in the UK’s small animal population. Liz is also the APHA Companion Animal Epidemiology workstream lead for the WOAH Collaboration Centre for Risk Analysis and Modelling and is undertaking a residency with the European College of Veterinary Public Health.
