Getting to Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth University is a short 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the bustling town centre. With access by road or rail, you can drive to the event or come in by train to the local station.
Aberystwyth is easily accessible by road, and whichever direction you’re travelling from, you’ll enjoy some of the most scenic routes in Wales. When heading to the Penglais Campus (our main event venue), keep an eye out for the university’s clear directional signage as you approach from the town — it’ll guide you straight to where you need to be.

Aberystwyth train station is the destination stop for those who may be travelling by train from Birmingham New Street, Birmingham International, Shrewsbury, Camarthen and Cardiff Central.
From the South (incl. London) and South West journey times may be between 3-5 hours.
The University is a 5 minute taxi or 15 minute walk from the train station.
Birmingham Airport is the most convenient international gateway to Aberystwyth. From the airport’s train station, you can purchase a direct rail ticket to Aberystwyth or book one in advance. The journey from Birmingham International to Aberystwyth takes around 3 hours 15 minutes, with picturesque views along the way.

Parking and Venue Info
Aberystwyth University offers a number of signposted car parks across the Penglais campus. You’ll also find electric vehicle charging points at several locations, each with straightforward on‑site instructions.
On arrival, make your way to the Penbryn Building on the Penglais Campus. You will find the BSAVA Events Team ready to welcome you on the first floor in the Medrus Conference Centre. Sessions will be taking place in the Penbryn (Medrus 1-4), Hugh Owen (A12-14) and Vet Education Centre (Training and Clinical Skills Rooms) Buildings. View the Site Map to plan your onsite journey.
