Veterinary Nursing Lecturer, Aberystwyth School of Veterinary Science
Emma qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005 from Myerscough College and has since built extensive experience across mixed, small animal, and emergency and critical care practice. Emma's most recent clinical role was the Lead and Specialist Theatre Nurse at a busy 24 hour veterinary hospital. In April 2023, Emma transitioned into higher education and has since led modules in Emergency and Critical Care, Theatre Practice, and Surgical Nursing on a BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing programme at The College of Animal Welfare and Middlesex University. She is now works as Veterinary Nursing Lecturer at Aberystwyth University within the School of Veterinary Sciences. Alongside her academic role, Emma is a companion and farm animal RAMA (SQP). She also serves as Chair of Regions, sits on both the Cymru Wales Regional Committee and the Publications Committee for BSAVA, and is a tutor for ONCORE ePD. Emma is the editor of the second edition of the BSAVA Pocketbook for Veterinary Nurses and is a regular contributor to several veterinary nursing publications
